NALA International Industry Awards Rules and Eligibility
RULE ONE
AWARDS DEFINITIONS
1. NALA Industry Awards shall be given annually to honour outstanding artistic and professionaL achievements in the lash industry, and to honour other industry achievements as provided for in these rules and approved by the NALA Awards Committee.
2. Awards shall be conferred at an annual NALA Awards Gala.
3. NALA Industry Awards, in the form of a trophy and/or certificate, shall be conferred annually for achievements in the following categories:
a. Lash Industry Awards,
b. Lash Artist Awards,
c. Lash Educator Awards,
d. Lash Academy Awards,
e. Lash Product Awards,
f. Lash Manufacturer Awards.

RULE TWO
ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility for NALA Industry Awards consideration is subject to Rules Two and Three, and to those special rules approved by the NALA Awards Committee that follow.
2. All eligible candidates, unless otherwise noted, must:
a. be formally nominated through the NALA Awards Nomination Process, by themselves or another individual,
b. agree to the NALA Nominee Participation Agreement,
c. qualify for the Award, as per the award description, before the Awards year deadline as specified in the current years Awards Gala Programming.
3. Eligibility is contingent on the receipt by the NALA Awards Committee of:
a. a completed Nomination form,
b. a signed Agreement by the nominee.
4. Eligibility for all awards shall be determined by the NALA Awards Committee. The NALA Awards Committee shall not be bound by any contract or agreement relating to the Awards consideration.
5. In the event of any dispute concerning nominations and/or awards, the NALA Awards Committee reserves the right to declare any achievement ineligible and withhold any award until the dispute is resolved.
6. The NALA President shall resolve all questions of eligibility and rules.
RULE THREE
THE AWARDS YEAR AND DEADLINES
1. The required documents for Award consideration (described in Rule Two Paragraph 3) must be submitted to the NALA Awards Committee by midnight of January 31, 2018 (MST).
2. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 is the last day to withdraw a nomination from the NALA Awards consideration.
3. The top nominees for each award will be determined and published on www.nalagala.com by Monday, April 23, 2018
4. Exceptions to the above deadlines may be negotiated with the President of NALA.
RULE FOUR
NOMINATIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS
1. Any individual or organization can be nominated by any individual.
2. A fee of $25 CAD will be charged for each nomination submitted.
3. All submitted nominations will be reviewed by The NALA Awards Committee.
4. All information submitted during the nomination review process is held in strict confidence by members of The NALA Awards Committee.
5. If a member of The NALA Awards Committee is nominated for an award he/she will not participate in the review and voting for that category.
6. No more than 5 nominees will be determined eligible for award consideration.
7. The top 5 nominees for each award will be published on the NALA Awards website (www.nalagala.com)
8. In the event a nominated achievement is declared ineligible by the NALA Awards Committee, it shall not be replaced, and the category will remain with one less nomination.
9. In the event that an achievement award was done in collaboration, only one award shall be issued.
10. In the event of a tie for first place in any category, awards shall be given for both winners.
