What’s the difference between a manual and a textbook?

A manual is an instruction booklet; a step-by-step guide of how to do something. Lash extension training courses around the world currently use lash manuals to accompany the hands-on training that is required for teaching lash extension techniques to new lash artists. 

A textbook is an all-inclusive compilation of content with educational purpose. It serves as a guide to the curriculum offered by schools. It is an extensive book of knowledge on every sector of that subject.

NALA has recently published textbooks to serve as a consistent and credible source of learning for the lash industry. These in-depth textbooks will be used to teach a fully comprehensive course on the subject of eyelash extension treatments in beauty schools across Canada, USA and Australia. NALA will be translating the textbooks into multiple languages next year (2024). At NALA we understand that education is the foundation of our industry. These textbooks have been made available with that in mind. Our mission is to support educators as they are molding the future of our industry. 

The content of the NALA Textbooks was thoughtfully curated using insight and information that we’ve collected and researched over the past 10 years. The textbooks have taken 3 years to write and are now available for licensing to beauty schools and lash academies.
